**Availability lists will be emailed out each week, referencing SKU’s, QTY, Price, and Notes as to the status of that plant within Greenhouse Production. You can save the list and use it as your order form to send back to us.
Pre-books
- Secure what you want in advance, before the season starts and you are at the mercy of availability.
- Pre-books can be done as one bulk order or be used as a bulk order sheet to order smaller QTY’s from across weeks in-season. Daily reports for Pre-books will be sent out to you, showing how many remaining you have to order from, coupled with a wholesale list avail in case you need to add additional QTY.
Spring/Summer (pre-books typically placed by end of August)
Easter/Valentine’s (typically placed at the end/beginning of the year)
Fall (typically placed in June)
Winter (typically placed in August/September)
Ordering off Spreadsheet
- As described in Pre-books, an Excel spreadsheet will be sent to you showing QTY available you have remaining on your Pre-book. You can use this spreadsheet to input your own QTY’s and send back via email.
- Our in-season wholesale avail lists are also sent out via spreadsheet to make it easier for ordering.
Avail Lists sent out Weekly
- These in-season lists provide a reference as to what wholesale has available to sell, as well as notes regarding that variety’s quality. In the fall, for example, a 13” Yellow Mum might show “Ready, Cracking Color” to let the customer know they are starting to bloom, ready for selling.
- Do not hesitate to ask on anything additional, as our availability is always getting updated. This list should be a good representation as to what we have, but please always ask if you see something as sold out or not on the list at all.
Follow Ups/Recaps sent on Sales Data
- Recaps of previous seasonal data can be sent to compare numbers prior to Pre-Booking.
- Typically, we will send these entering the new season but also upon request.
Shopping Areas at Wholesale
- At certain times of the year, our wholesale area also becomes a shoppable area for wholesale customers, whether they take a look while picking up orders or simply stop in to see.
- In the Fall, we have our Fall Bulbs available to shop. People will often take a tour of the greenhouse as well and look at Annuals and Perennials they like to order. With Bulbs, we will sometimes do an Early Order Discount (EOD) to encourage moving volume.
- In the Winter, we have our holiday aisles set up along our poinsettia fields, full of winter accents to look through and get your stores ready. Like bulbs, winter accents are subject to Early Order Discounting. Please ask!
Deliveries/Pickups/3 day
•Delivery charges typically follow a zip-code formula cost structure, estimated shipping prior.
•Both LTL and truckload freight rates for next year have been requested and can send that out.
•If you or your driver can pick up from our wholesale location, that is no extra charge. Deliveries with a 2-hour window.
•Order requests typically will follow a 3-day turnaround. For example, in the Winter, Poinsettia orders get pulled, sprayed, sleeved, and then packed. We do this process to keep plants healthy and provide you with the best product. This is why early ordering is also important.

Drops and Subs
- Drops and Subs are used to depict which varieties were dropped from the previous season, and substitutes offer a supplemental replacement for those or any in-season that may be sold out.
- For example, Spring Line-Up with pricing is a spreadsheet with two tabs, ‘Spring 2024 Line-Up’ and ‘Drops’.
Tagging
- The Gertens name is only listed on hanging baskets and tubs, and on all but the combos can be removed with one cut of a scissors. Our tags will contain dashed lines for a scissors reference too. All packs and pots 5.25” and smaller do not have the Gertens name on them.
